Our Comprehensive Vision Exams

When you schedule an exam at our office, you can expect to spend about 45 minutes with an eye care professional.  There’s more to our eye exams than just vision correction! You will be asked about your medical history, your family medical history, allergies, medications, and visual needs and uses. We then not only do a refraction to check your vision prescription, but we also conduct a thorough evaluation of the health of your eyes, including testing for: color blindness, depth perception, focusing abilities, glaucoma, macular degeneration, cataracts, binocular vision disorders, and more! Warning signs for other serious medical conditions, such as diabetes, multiple sclerosis, hypertension, high cholesterol, and stroke, often appear early in your eyes, so a complete check with a knowledgeable optometrist is an important part of your healthcare routine. If your condition requires surgery or further medical treatment, a referral to an appropriate specialist will be made and we will work as a part of your entire healthcare team.

At Peninsula Vision Care, we are dedicated to patient education.
We will spend time answering all of your vision and healthcare
questions, and will provide resources to further your education when necessary. We strive to provide the
best COMPREHENSIVE vision care available!
